Listen to their story

"I'm Vusi. My wife Sindi and I live in Pretoria, South Africa. We were going through a tough time; I didn't have a job and I was working hard to build my business. In the process, I didn't pay enough attention to my wife and kids. Sindi was struggling with anxiety and sadness. We stopped talking like we had, and our closeness vanished. We lived separately for a year. Sindi lived with her parents, and I stayed with our kids because of school. When we did talk, it often turned into big arguments. Our marriage was falling apart, and I didn't know what to do. One day, I stumbled upon some videos by a guy named Jason Carver on YouTube. He talked about saving marriages, and that gave me hope for us. Our Journey and Turning Point: I had a lot of doubts along the way. I'm a pastor and felt bad for letting my family down. But listening to Jason's story and seeing some similarities with ours gave me a glimmer of hope. I thought if he could fix his marriage, maybe I could too. Even though I doubted myself, I believed that God's kindness could fix what was broken. While we were apart, Sindi seemed like she was doing great on the outside. She started taking better care of herself and looked healthier. It made me upset because it seemed like I was the only one struggling. That was a misunderstanding. Sindi later told me that her inner struggles were getting worse, especially her anxiety. I tried to get us some help by booking counseling at Choose Life Church. Sindi wanted someone neutral to help us but in the end, she didn't go to the sessions. I went alone and it helped me understand myself better and become stronger. Three things helped me get our marriage back on track: I got closer to God through prayer and studying His Word every day. I started taking care of my physical health by going back to the gym, which made me feel better mentally, too. I created a support group on Whats App with friends who believed in our marriage. They encouraged me, especially when things got really tough and it felt like my wife would never come back. Divine Help and Our Restoration: God played a big part in our journey. My faith in Him and the belief that He values marriage kept me going. I remember seeing my own father really upset about our separation. He cared about us a lot. God spoke to me then, saying that if my earthly father wanted us to get back together so badly, how much more did my heavenly Father want that for us? After a while, our communication got better. We started sending messages of love and longing to each other, showing that we still cared. Then, I asked Sindi if we could go to church together and she agreed. After the service, we shared a meal, and it felt like we were close again. The next day, Sindi said she wanted to come back home. That's how our journey to restoration ended. In Conclusion: Our story shows that God really wants marriages to work. He has the power to fix what's broken, and He wants it more than we do. To others going through tough times in their marriages, remember that the One who brought you together wants to see you together. I want to say thanks to God, my support network, Jason and the Standing Supernaturally team. Especially thanks to Sindi for being willing to rebuild our relationship. To those going through similar challenges, know that even in the hardest times, there's a bigger plan at work. Keep believing, stay strong and trust that God's timing will bring your love back to life." Vusi mentioned the YouTube Channel for Standing Supernaturally for Marriage Restoration.
