September 7 2026 Devotional: Blessed For Believing As You Stand For Marriage Restoration
“Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” - Luke 1:45 (NIV) In Luke 1:45, “Blessed is she who has believed that what the Lord has said to her will be accomplished!” we discover the profound blessing that comes from believing in the Lord’s promises. While this verse originally refers to Mary’s faith in God’s promise of the miraculous birth of Jesus, I suggest it also applies to those who believe in the promise of the restoration of their marriage. Yes, believing in restoration requires unwavering faith, trust and perseverance; we will discuss these topics in the future. But today, I want you to know how your belief in this promise comes with blessings! It is God’s desire to shower you with His blessings during your stand! He wants to reward you as you trust and believe in His promise. This truth can also be seen in Hebrews 11:6 when it says, “God rewards those who seek Him.” God is undoubtedly a Father who rewards His children, especially when we stand believing in His promises! So, as you believe in the healing of your marriage, begin to look around and notice the blessings of God being poured out on you now. Take notice of the hand of God and His favor that is all around you. His word promises that He blesses those who believe in His promise, so if you are standing in faith, believe He is blessing you! I know that when you are in pain and struggle for your marriage, the only blessing you want to see is the marriage actually getting restored but please, my friend, don’t be so narrowly focused. God blesses those who believe! It will manifest in many areas of life, so take notice and expect to see the blessing of God fall on you as you stand! Are you struggling to believe in the promise? That’s okay and that is why you are reading this book! Belief, my standing friend, is coming, and by the end of these 40 days, get ready for your belief in restoration to be off the charts! But today I want to encourage you to get ready because as your belief increases, your blessings will increase exponentially! Blessings over your mind, emotions, kids, finances and yes, I believe God will bless you with a restored marriage. John 11:40 puts it perfectly, “Did I not say to you that if you would believe, you would see the glory of God?” So get ready for blessings to fall on you supernaturally as you believe “that what the Lord has said to you will be accomplished!” As you stand in belief for your marriage’s healing, start to actively notice how God is working around you. His blessings may manifest in small, everyday miracles such as a sense of peace in the midst of turmoil, unexpected support from friends and family or even growth in personal resilience and spiritual strength. God’s favor is not limited to the restoration of your marriage alone; it extends to every facet of your life. We may all find it challenging to maintain belief in the promise of restoration but know that faith grows by training it. Each of these 40 days is an opportunity to increase your trust in God’s promises. The development of your confidence in God is itself a blessing, leading to an increase in His favor in your life. This includes blessings over your mental and emotional well-being, your relationships with your children, your financial stability and in due time the restoration of your marriage. Remember, the blessings of God often prepare us for the greater work He intends to do in our lives. As your belief strengthens, you become more attuned to His presence and His working in your life. This heightened awareness will help you to recognize His blessings, even in the midst of trials and challenges. The story of Mary and her unwavering faith serves as an inspiration. Just as she believed in God’s promise and saw the miraculous unfold, your faith in the promise of restoration will open the doors to experiencing God’s glory in your life. This journey of belief is not just about waiting for the restoration of your marriage; it’s about experiencing the fullness of God’s blessings in every step you take. As you grow in your belief, expect to see a transformation not only in your circumstances but also within yourself. The blessings that follow will be a testament to your faith and a witness to the power of believing in God’s promises. So, as you stand for your marriage today, embrace the full spectrum of God’s blessings. Let your faith be the foundation upon which these blessings are built. Believe confidently that what the Lord has promised will be accomplished and watch as His glory unfolds in your life. Your journey is not only about the restoration of what was lost but also about stepping into a realm of greater blessings, deeper faith and a more profound experience of God’s unfailing love and power.
